# xarray.DataArray.str.upper

#### DataArray.str.upper()[[source]](https://github.com/pydata/xarray/blob/main/xarray/core/accessor_str.py#L779-L800)

Convert strings in the array to uppercase.

* **Returns:**
  **uppered** (`same type as values`)
